第二回テナントインタビューはBLINK紀尾井町をご利用されているPretia TechnologiesのHiroさんにご協力いただきました！
Hi! I’m Ryu, an intern student.
For BLINK’s second tenant interview, I interviewed Hiro-san from Pretia Technolology at BLINK Kioicho!
Q 御社の事業内容を教えてください。/ Please tell us about your business.
私たちはARを基にした事業を企業、一般消費者向けに行っています。AR（拡張現実）は、シンプルに表現すると現実世界にデジタルな情報を重ね合わせる技術です。スマートフォン、タブレット、ARグラスなどのデバイスを使用し、現実世界の上に仮想オブジェクトや情報を表示することができます。
We do business using AR Technologies for companies and general customers. To put it simply, AR is a technology that overlays digital information onto the real world. It allows users to see the real environment through a device while adding virtual objects or information on top of it. AR can be experienced using devices like smartphones, tablets, dedicated AR glasses and so on.
弊社は、世界的にも珍しく、自社で研究開発した技術を活用しARクラウドプラットフォームを提供しています。従来、ARを活用した体験は、デバイスごとに体験を共有することができない、という課題がありました。しかし、ARクラウドを使用することによって複数人で同時にAR体験を共有できるようになり、より現実に近いAR体験の構築を実現することができます。そのほかにも、研究によって生まれた技術やUXを活用してARSaaSを開発して企業向けに提供したり、ゲームという形でユーザーに提供することで、AR活用の幅と可能性を押し広げています。
Our company utilizes a globally unique technology developed in-house to offer an AR cloud platform. Conventionally, challenges existed in sharing AR experiences across different devices. However, by utilizing the AR cloud, multiple individuals can now share AR experiences simultaneously, enabling the creation of more realistic AR experiences. Furthermore, we leverage technology and user experience born from research to develop ARSaaS for businesses and provide it to them. We also expand the scope and potential of AR utilization by offering it to users in the form of games.
Q 御社で働く上でのやりがいはなんですか？/ What makes your job worthwhile?
ARはこれからの技術です。直近は、Appleやサムスン・Google・Lenovo・Oppo・Xiaomiなど名だたるメーカーがAR、MR用デバイスを発表、もしくは開発計画を発表しています。弊社は、スマートフォンが爆発的に広がり、アプリという概念が拡がったように、ARという技術とその周囲に大きなビジネスが生まれると考えています。
また、活用の幅も広く、すでにゲームからBtoBまで事業展開をしていますが、今後さらに幅を広げていくことを考えています。
さらに、弊社は日本だけでなく、海外への進出を積極的に行っており、そこも大きな魅力です。
AR is an upcoming technology. Recently, Apple, Samsung, Google, Lenovo, Oppo, Xiaomi and other well-known manufacturers have announced the development of devices for AR and MR. We believe that just as smartphones have exploded and the concept of apps has expanded, AR technology and its surroundings will create a large business.
The range of applications is also wide, and although we have already developed our business from games to BtoB, we are thinking of expanding it even further in the future.
Plus, not only do we work in Japan but have also expanded into foreign countries proactively, which is a very rewarding feeling.
Q 御社の強みはなんですか？/ What is the strength of your company?
大きく分けると二つ、技術と組織です。
技術面では、自社内に研究開発チームがあることにより、より複雑でチャレンジングなプロジェクトに取り組むことが可能です。
組織面では、海外出身のメンバーも多いため、異なる文化的背景を持ったメンバーが多様な文化的視点からAR技術やプロダクトの開発を行って製品に反映している点です。また、社内公用語が英語のため海外進出をすることも容易になります。
There are two main strengths, which is our technology and team members.
In terms of technology, as we have a research and development team in our company, we can work on more challenging projects.
As for members, we have many foreign members who are from different backgrounds, so they can develop AR technology and products from diverse perspectives. The fact that the company official language is English, makes it easy to expand abroad.
Q 最後にBLINK紀尾井町についてお聞かせください。/ Lastly, what do you think about BLINK Kioicho?
サテライトオフィス・ARの体験施設として利用しているのですが、ロケーション・働く環境ともに快適でとても利用しやすいです！
It is very easy to use their facilities thanks to the convenient location and the comfortable environment, as we use BLINK Kioicho as a satellite office and AR experience facility!
