Daniela Fernandez is a visionary entrepreneur, investor, and thought leader driving innovation in the sustainable blue economy. As Founder & CEO of Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA), she has built the world’s largest youth-led ocean network, empowering thousands of young leaders and accelerating 420+ ocean solutions in 186 countries. Through Seabird Ventures, SOA has invested in 65 early-stage ocean tech companies, spanning aquaculture, marine renewable energy, and ocean data—collectively raising $600M+ in follow-on funding.
Committed to bridging the gap between policy, finance, and innovation, Daniela has helped shape global ocean strategies, co-hosting high-level ocean summits and advocating for investments that drive ocean restoration. A Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur and LinkedIn Top Voice in Social Impact, she advises world leaders, investors, and corporations on integrating ocean sustainability into economic growth.

Masanori Kobayashi undertakes research work on ocean and sustainability policy including marine and coastal resource management, blue economy, ocean governance and fishery policies. He worked on sustainability issues in the Pan Asia Fund and Pacific Island Nations Fund of SPF, the Ocean Policy Research Foundation, the Yokohama National University Graduate School for Environment and Information Science, the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, the United Nations (Geneva, Bonn and New York), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan (Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York). He will speak on the topic of renewable marine energy as an example for climate change mitigation based on marine resources.

Christian had a successful corporate career before founding Aventa consultancy in 2009. He advised global and Japanese clients, launched startups, and established PDIE (Purpose Driven Innovation Ecosystem) in 2019. PDIE Group became a repeat Earthshot Prize nominator. Now Associate Partner at Venionaire Capital, Japan and senior advisor at the Future Food Institute, he’s dedicated to global innovation for a better future.
